About Mr. Bauer Mr. Bauer - Cowboy

This is my third year teaching Physical Education at J.O. Combs Middle School (CMS). Before coming to CMS, I was a long-term substitute at Mesa High School. I received a Master’s of Education Degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Siena College.

My sports background includes playing high school football and lacrosse, as well as college  lacrosse. I have also coached both sports and started off this year with the Combs Coyote Freshman Football team.

Mr. Bauer - Horseman

Prior to teaching, I worked for Metro North Railroad in New York. I served as a conductor and engineer (yes, I actually ran the trains). My duties took me in and out of Grand Central Terminal on a daily basis. Although this work left me with many memories, it was unfulfilling which led me to pursue a career in teaching.

When I’m not working or coaching I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I have three children-two daughters and a son. They keep me busy all the time.
