All About Me!
I am one of two FACS teachers here at Combs Middle School. I really enjoy teaching FACS because I love cooking and nutrition. FACS is a class with such a variety of content; it is hard to become bored!
I am currently in my sixth year of teaching. It is true when they say “Time Flies by When Your Having Fun”! This is my second year teaching at Combs Middle School. Before teaching here, I taught at Thunder Mountain Middle School in Apache Junction for 3 years and San Carlos Junior High in San Carlos for one year.
Being a teacher is all about taking classes and getting a great education. My education started in Winkelman, AZ. I attended a small school district, Hayden-Winkelman Unified School District. I graduated in 1999 from Hayden High School. I then went on to receive my Bachelors Degree in Family and Consumer Science Education. Yes, there is a FACS Education Degree!! After teaching for a year, I decided to work on my Master’s Degree. I completed my Master’s with a degree in Counseling and Human Relations.
Outside of teaching, I am still a very busy person. I am married and have three children. I have a five-year-old son, two-year-old daughter, and a little daughter who will be a year in April. I also have a dog named Liza. She is the oldest of all my little ones. She is a fuzzy little dog, who looks like a mop! She will be 9 years old (human years) in May.
