I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, where some of my family still resides. I am the middle kid in the family, and yes, I often use that as an excuse for my issues. I am often outcast because I went against the grain,so to speak, and am a huge University of Michigan fan.GO BLUE!
I graduated high school in 1997 from Sylvania Northview and began college immediately following at The University of Toledo. After going to school year round for four years, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
My teaching career began in Toledo. Toledo is a vastly inner city setting, which helped to sharpen my skills in the classroom. After five years with Toledo Public Schools, I decided that I've had enough of Toledo's drab and unpredictable weather. I contacted some friends already living in Queen Creek and asked if I could take a visit. I immediately fell in love with the scenery and the weather, even though it was July! This proved to be the best move I could have ever made. As a result of my move to the desert, I met my beautiful wife, Ondrea, who teaches 7th Grade Science at J.O. Combs Middle School.
Ondrea and I were married within a year of knowing each other. We wed on October 19, 2007. We are currently expecting our first child who will be born at the beginning of the summer. This is an extremely exciting time for us and I look forward to sharing these experiences with my Combs family.
I look forward to continuing my teaching career here with Combs and sharing many incredible experiences with this incredible community!
