Grading: I use Grade Pro software and have enjoyed excellent results over the last three years. Grades have weighted percentages based on four categories: Tests (25%), Performance-type assignments (35%) and Classroom-type assignments (40%), and extra credit (EC). Performance-type are simulations, group projects, experiential exercises, and role-play while classroom are cloze-notes, vocab. sheets, hand-outs and other types of individual based assignments. Tests will also include short quizzes. Extra credit can only help the grade, not hurt it. In order to be able to read your child’s grade, you will need their 4 digit code.
Instructions:
1. Know your child's fourdigit passcode. Your child should have it or you can email me and I will give it to you.
2. Go to the link provided below. The grade list is by periods, starting with 1st period
The following key should help you break down the grade-sheets provided:
mi: missing assignment. Missing assignments count as a zero in the program until turned in.
inc: assignment incomplete. Incomplete assignments will count as a zero in the program until corrected.
ex: Excused from having to complete the assignment.

Absences during tests: students must make them up the day they return from an absence during cougar skills or lunch. This is for excused absences only. Unexcused absence during a test day will result on a zero grade for the test
Grade Codes: Look for these codes at the lower left hand corner of the grade for the assignment. They are:
1- Score reduced because of absence during group activity and makeup assignment not turned in.
2- Score reduced because turned in late
3-score reduced because of negative evaluation from group members
5- Score reduced due to innapropriate behavior
6- absent during test but never came in to make up during CS or lunch
7- Completed it as a makeup assignment
